Building Generational Wealth Through Authentic Action
Mastering the Art of Authentic Connection and Conflict Resolution in Business and Life
From the homestead,
Twenty-five episodes.
90% of podcasters quit before episode 3. I just hit a milestone that puts me in the top 1% of all podcasters who ever start a show.
But here's what matters more than the number: I started knowing nothing about content creation, with no media training, while managing a full-time tech sales job, a 2-year-old and 5-year-old, and 10 acres in rural Tennessee.
Sound impossible? Three months later, I have 10 guests already lined up and instead of continuing to talk about what I'll be doing on YouTube - I'm just going to show you.
What This Corporate Mediator Taught Me About Real Communication
Last week's episode featured Leah Brown FRSA, a corporate M&A lawyer who mediates boardroom conflicts. Her insight applies to every relationship:
"Most people don't communicate nearly half as clearly as they think they do."
Think about it: How many times have you had the same argument with your partner about responsibilities? How often do your kids "not hear" instructions? How frequently do work meetings leave everyone wondering what was actually decided?
Leah's solution isn't perfect clarity - it's taking action to create clarity through authentic conversation. She focuses on separating the person from the problem and asking: "What's my part in this?"
That's the accountability that builds real relationships with partners, children, and colleagues.

Life as Someone Who Actually Does Things
This weekend I was harvesting radishes and peppers from our garden beds with my kids. Fighting pests, pulling weeds, teaching them where food actually comes from while they "helped" by eating half the harvest.
It reminded me why I chose this life —
I'm showing my children what it looks like to be a creator, not just a consumer. A legacy builder, not just a dreamer.
Too many folks talk about starting businesses, growing food, or building something meaningful "when conditions are perfect." They plan and research and optimize while life passes by.
I plant seeds, record episodes during nap time, make sales calls around homeschool break times, and build systems that work around real life constraints.
My children see a parent who doesn't wait for perfect conditions. That's the legacy I want to leave them.
This Week's Solo Episode: The Connector Method™ for Creators
Speaking of taking action - this week's episode is just me, talking about The Connector Method™ and why action always beats preparation, especially for busy founders and parents.
I'll break down the exact framework I've used to pivot from teaching to tech sales to homesteader to podcaster to keynote speaker - each transition built in parallel while actively building our family's future.
The Connector Method™ Course (Designed for Real Life)
I'm building something specifically for those who know they have valuable expertise but don't know how to monetize it around existing responsibilities.
The Connector Method™ course teaches you how to turn your knowledge into revenue without sacrificing what matters most. Just systematic action-taking that builds confidence through evidence.
Two ways to work with me:
Join the waitlist for The Connector Method™ mini course - first access when it launches
Done-For-You Connector Ecosystem™ build - I'll create your entire monetization system while you focus on your expertise
Both options are for legacy builders ready to stop waiting for "someday" and start creating wealth while staying present for what matters.
Your Turn
What expertise are you sitting on while waiting to feel qualified enough?
Your children are learning more from watching you pursue your goals than from any sacrifice you make "for them."
The market doesn't need another expert. It needs a creator willing to connect the dots between what they know and what others need to learn.
Hit reply and tell me what you're ready to take action on - I read every response.
Until next week, Makeda
