Health Is Wealth. Control Your Supply Chain.

How I'm starting food sovereignty on my kitchen counter (and why guests are joining the show)

Hey there,

This week I did something that felt both tiny and revolutionary:
I bought two AeroGardens.

In 2 weeks, I’ll be harvesting fresh produce like peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, and herbs right from my kitchen counter. No soil. No digging. No excuses about not having land, time, or the "right" setup.

It’s the easiest way to start growing your own food — even if you live in an apartment, work full-time, or have zero gardening experience.
Just add water and liquid nutrients, plug it in, and watch your food grow.

Can’t wait to show you exactly how I use it when The Connectors Market launches!

Because sovereignty doesn’t have to start with acreage.
It starts with intention.
It can start on your counter.
It can start now.

Why I’m Growing Food (and Why You Should Too)

I just dropped a podcast episode called
🎙 "Why We Grow Our Food and Homeschool Our Kids"

This one’s not about aesthetic gardening or lifestyle content. It’s about the real reasons we’re growing our own food and homeschooling our kids:

  • The food we’re sold is poisoned

  • The schools we rely on are stretched thin

  • And the systems we’ve normalized are not designed to serve our families

If you don’t fall in love with your own life, someone will sell you a version of theirs.

Seed & Society

I’m not glamorizing this path — I’m telling the truth about it. The learning curves, the mistakes, the crying in the garden. Because if I can do this while working in tech sales and raising two kids, you can too.

🎧 In Case You Missed It

If you’re curious how I’m using AI to make faster decisions, create content, and manage strategy while juggling tech sales, homesteading, and motherhood — I recorded a full episode breaking it down.

It’s not hype. It’s not theoretical.
Just how I actually use Claude AI in real life.

Because real wealth includes time clarity — not just money.

Guests Are Joining the Podcast

Starting this week, I’m bringing guests to the Seed & Society podcast!

They’re builders:
People creating financial freedom, raising conscious kids, designing parallel systems, and reclaiming power over their food, income, and time.

Guest episodes will be broken into multiple part series if they exceed 15 minutes — and the full conversations will be available to watch on YouTube.

🎙 First up: CFP® Monica Kaufman
This conversation is a masterclass in financial sovereignty. Monica breaks down why most people don’t actually know if the advice they’re getting is right, because they don’t understand the system it comes from.

She helps people stop just earning, and start building actual wealth — using mindset, systems, and clarity.

Expect to see more of her in a Connector soon!

Start Somewhere

You don’t need land to build food security.
You don’t need to be debt-free to build sovereignty.
You just need to start — strategically and intentionally.

Start with a lettuce pod on your counter.
Start by questioning one money belief.
Start with 30 minutes of perspective-shifting conversation.

Because sovereignty doesn’t wait. It rewards the builders.

More soon,
Makeda

P.S. If you’re ready to build your own systems for income, land, and digital resilience, I offer strategy sessions where we map it out based on your specific life.
