You Already Have Everything You Need

If you’re still waiting to be “ready,” you’ve already missed the point.

I’ve been sitting with a truth that’s shaped everything I’ve built:

You don’t need to become someone new. You need to build with who you already are.

That’s the foundation of The Connector Method™ — my framework for turning lived experience into strategic leverage.

I didn’t build it in a perfect season. I built it while grieving. While nursing a newborn. While closing multi-million-dollar enterprise deals from a makeshift office in rural Tennessee. While choosing clarity over chaos, and infrastructure over urgency.

And no — I didn’t win because I had all the time, money, or credentials.
I didn’t. I had to go get them.
But what made the difference was this:

I stopped wasting energy on reinvention, and started getting clear about what I already knew — and how to connect that to what I needed next.

That’s what it means to be an Ultimate Connector™:
Someone who recognizes potential, curates aligned solutions, and catalyzes transformation.

Now I’m speaking on stages to teach this.

My keynote, The Connector Method™: How to Turn Lived Experience Into Leverage in the Age of AI, is a call to reframe what counts as strategy, wealth, and leadership.

We’re not just talking about personal growth. We’re talking about system design — and how AI becomes a tool for clarity, not a replacement for real vision.

Because the future doesn’t belong to those who know everything.
It belongs to those who know how to connect — to insight, to systems, to what matters most.

Why this shift happened for me?

Because I became a mom.

Motherhood didn’t just wake me up — it forced me to get honest about what mattered, what I was capable of, and what I could no longer put off.
It made me look at all the unpaid, undervalued work I’d done — caregiving, strategizing, holding things together — and realize:

That was the skillset.

Every time I managed competing priorities under pressure? Strategic thinking.
Every time I found creative solutions with limited resources? Innovation.
Every time I helped someone through something I’d already navigated? Authentic authority.

The problem isn’t that you need more.
The problem is that no one taught you how to see what you already have — and leverage it.

That’s why I’m writing The Connector Method™.
Not to give you another task list, but to help you recognize the Ultimate Connector abilities you’ve already earned — and show you how to use them to build income, impact, and infrastructure that actually supports your life.

Because here’s the truth:
Success isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about knowing how to connect to them.

That’s also why this week’s podcast episode with Linda Grizely felt so aligned.

Linda is a financial educator who helps women reclaim their money power — not by becoming someone new, but by finally trusting themselves.
We talked about the 5 Money Types, why budgeting fails most women, and how to stop putting yourself last in systems that were never built with you in mind.

If you’re carrying the weight of caregiving, creation, and responsibility — this one’s for you.

If you’ve ever felt like your lived experience isn’t enough — I want you to know this:

You are not behind.
You are not broken.
You’re just not building with the right frame yet.

And I’m here to help you change that.

With discernment,
Makeda

P.S. I’m building something called The Connectors Community™ — a space where we practice everything I just shared. If you want early access, reply with “CONNECTOR” and I’ll make sure you’re on the list.
